Rant

So after three years in concert band, working really hard to get close to the senior level so I can go on tour, staying with my band through all the people who drop out and shitty times when we have a hugely unbalanced array of instruments, when I’m so close to going on my dream senior tour to Europe; My parents say that they don’t want to support me in it financially while I raise the $3600 it’ll take to make this happen. This is while I am not only trying to pass gr. 10 and make it through to summer, but while I’m struggling with depression and anxiety. This tour means so much to me, it’s part of the reason I’ve stayed in band and tried so hard in it- And they’re trying to take it away from me. Thanks, Mom and Dad. You’re so supportive.
